Lakug Se

Lakug Se (/la/ /kug/ [man; father] [hot]) is a subtropical Town located in the Zåkräf Region of the Tetbur Commune.

The name Lakug Se is derived from the Tauric language, as Lakug Se was founded by H́i̊ch́ Walton Pritchard, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Lakug Se has a yearly average temperature of 30°C (86°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a blistering 34°C (93°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a warm 27°C (80°F). Lakug Se receives an average of 267 cm/y (105 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Lakug Se covers an area of nearly 4 km² (1 mi²), and an average elevation of 2780 m (9120 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Lakug Se was founded durring the late 15th century in fall of the year 1379, by H́i̊ch́ Walton Pritchard. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for H́i̊ch́ Walton Pritchard.

Lakug Se was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the late 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Lakug Se is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature plaster covered brickwork used to form structures with an emphasis on symmetry, proportion, geometry and the regularity of parts. Orderly arrangements of columns, pilasters and lintels, as well as the use of semicircular arches, hemispherical domes, niches and aediculae can be found everywhere such that only size of building and yard can be used to measure the general prosparity of a given building's owners due to a general wealthy feeling the style gives off.

Lakug Se is buildings are arranged within a network of crampt packed earth streets which form a rectangular grid, where each block verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller block has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town is protected by a humble stone fence which is tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. The peasent-grade has suffered a visible ammount of structural damage, leaving them effectivly useless. One can't help but wonder why the has not yet effected repairs.

A look around Lakug Se gives the unmistakable impression the town is one of the strictest places imaginable. Everyone’s actions are clearly directed by laws they keep in heart and mind at all times. Orderly byond order is a phrase which Lakug Se brings to mind.

Lakug Se has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Lakug Se has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Lakug Se's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Lakug Se possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.

Lakug Se has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Lakug Se has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Lakug Se's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known for its fluid and florid elaborate style, comprising ornate, asymmetric designs and pastel shades. It is often considered to be a playful, light style, which made exuberant use of curves and emphasized subtle asymmetry in the general shape of its structures. Walls, ceilings and moldings are decorated with numerous interlacing of curves and counter-curves based on the shapes of ‘C’ and ‘S’, along with shell forms and other naturalistic shapes.

In Lakug Se hail is always enormous, yet harmlessly plinks off people, creatures, and structures.

The Mole near Lakug Se are known to be more aggressive than normal.

Lakug Se's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in autumn and involves ritual combat to channel Mysticism energies of tier 3 via throat chanting.

Economy
